I recently had my sled up in the air in the shop and wiggled the front end.
It had serious play!
Totally disassembled and found that the very THIN factory plastic bushings were mostly gone!
Searching the internet, I found a metal sintered bushing set from Ulmer Racing. (Among some other cool stuff!)
They also had a bearing set to add to my rear shock as it was rubbing the track.
I installed the bushing set last week. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
The front end is nice and tight! Gotta like a tight front end!
It all went together very well and while I was at it, I installed grease zirks on all the movable joints, and crossdrilled all the steel bushings.
That way I don't have to do this again!
The only joint I couldn't figure out how to add a grease zirk to, was the ski pivot. Any ideas?
The guys at Ulmer were awesome at answering questions and the kit worked perfectly!
Gotta love it!
