Hi, just recently bought an 04 warrior. Have some troubles with starting it. First few times I had it running took for ever to start and drained battery so boosted it and she managed to run so I went out and got a new battery. Tried to start today and nothing, turns over but nothing. Replaced all plugs then checked to see if any spark and there is none. Any ideas if there is a ground wire or is this common with CDI maybe. There was another balck wire off the harness near battery terminals that was not hooked up. Not sure if this was ground wire maybe , where is ground wire located? Any ideas for this newbie would be appreciated.
Thanks slednewf1

If the wire is Black and has a circular connector, it may be a battery connection. What type of connector does that wire have? So what is connected to the battery?

found out this wire is not the problem but not sure what still causing me to have no spark, have traced wiring in steering post and kill switch, all fuses and relays but no go. Wires going to cdi and to magneto seem to be good. Not sure whats going on. Has anyone had similar troubles with engine turning and no spark? Any suggestions please.

Check the wires that go under the tool box in the nose, these wires chaff against the inside of the aluminum bulkhead and can cause many electrical headaches.

Well, ... I guess this one is not something simple. So, ...
Have you checked the Main fuse, which is located in a fuse holder about 1/2 way between the battery and the ends of the jumper cables? You may have to remove the airbox to see it.
Have you checked for power at the ignition fuse? The ignition fuse is one of the fuses in the 4 fuse holder mounted above and slightly rear of the chain case. The ignition fuse has a Red wire going in and a Red/Yellow wire going out of the holder. You may want to consider checking all 4 fuses while you are there.
If you have good fuses, then you should have power at the ignition fuse. If you do not, then you need to be looking at the wiring. If you do have power at the ignition fuse, then the keyswitch, throttle switch or ECU must not be working correctly. You just have to follow the power to where it stops.
Is TORS adjusted correctly?
Did you check all the connections to the ECU? You may want to consider checking all the wiring around the nose of the sled for chaffing, as previously suggested. However, this was not a common problem to '04s.

Found my problem with the no spark it was actually the relay housing for the main fuse by the battery, it wasn't making no connection to produce spark. After untapping the entire wiring harness finally found this to be it. Fuse was fine but wasn't making contact, added a few small pieces of copper wire give it contact and jumped to life. Thanks fot your help.
