Taking my 08 Apex on my first trip with it. I've always run 2 stroke sleds in the past. Non Oxy has been religiously used in my sleds and boats. So I've got 7 six gallon tanks coming to Canada with me...all filled with non oxygenated gas. I just read the FAQ post on fuel saying to use regular 87 with ethanol. I'm not hurting my motor by running 91 non Oxy, am I?

My books say pump octane 86 or higher. You're not going to hurt the engine, but don't expect any performance gains. I usually run non-oxy, but my golden rule is first tank and last tank of the season are always non-oxy. I do this on sled and motorcycle and have never had any "bad gas" issues after storage. I don't use gas stabilizer when in storage either, but that's just a personal preference.

Don't over think this..... as long as your using the fuel regularly it wont hurt or cause a issue, its when you store the sled with it over a long period of time that it is bad. like mentioned above first and last tank full at storage time with stable in with it and your good! Premium is a waste of money and some performance if not called for by the OEM....
