Educate me on Gas...07 Apex

have run both and do get better range on the non-ethanol fuel than e-10 as for octane don't really notice any difference between 87 to 91 on my 06 apex

on my 07 i ran nothing but premium 91 or better octane and my 3 friends all ran 87 in their 07 and 06 apexes and we all got about the same millage but most times i was putting in a little bit more at the pump like a half gallon more and we all rode the same trails at the same pace. So they spent less on gas and got better millage out of 87 then i did on 91 or better. maybe a fluke my sled also would blow flames out the exhaust after a high speed run across a lake or on a rail bed when i would let off the throttle. had it in to two diffrent dealers had doughnuts changedtwice and y pipes changed too just could make it stop so i rode it it was actualy pretty cool especialy at night. always figured it ran to rich must have been the prob. now on my 12 xtx it states to run 91 or better and i didnt have a choice one time last year and it didnt like the 87 i put in it it was noticable for sure.

Mine and a friends both blew flames! You needed a long hard pull to get the exhaust hot enough then chop the throttle to catch some unburnt fuel and when it meets oxygen you get flames. I don't think it has anything to do with the type of fuel but is kind of cool.

I loved it it was way cool to pull a two smoke across the lake and if they made it across without blowing up they got treated to a pyro show at the other end lol. And yes it didnt matter what gas i had in it it would do it at will after good and hot.
