Those of you using NOS on their sleds, I believe there are kits for fogging the air box and kits for nozzles on each carb. Which is better? The ones that fog in the carbs, can they be used with the ECP kit? Also can these be used with turbos? Are these specific kits for the RX1's or are they just R1 bike kits? Are you using these kits in the winter with a heater for the bottle? If so how well does it work? So many options out there!!!

I use the Nitrous Express kit.It has 4 nozzles that are installed in the carb boots.I also use a bottle heater that is controlled by bottle pressure. It is set for 36 HP.I am happy with the way it works, not a huge gain but enough that I dont lose to stock sleds.I have the ECP air kit also.

Lookin4speed, where did you get it from? Is it specifically made for the RX1 or just general snowmobile use? How much did it set you back? You can answer through a PM if you don't want to share this info with everyone. I just want to get an idea on what a kit would cost and don't want to go buy something that has a bunch of components missing, then have to go pay extra for them, such as the heater blanket for the bottle. Do you feel it was good bang for the buck, you say it isn't a whole lot of gain, were you disapointed?

No I wasnt disappointed. When I said it wasnt a big gain I meant that I didnt have to make any other changes to make it work.On the bottle it is a very smooth power you dont really notice untill you race someone on and off the spray. My son has a Mach z with pipes and clutch work.Without nitrous he pulls away from me pretty easy, with nitrous I kill his sled from start to finish.Just what I wanted .The nitrous express atv-snowmobile kit comes with everything except the heater.

hlmrx1 - I took a bunch of spare parts, and made my own system. It has the fogger nozzles in each carb boot, and shoots nitrous as well as fuel into the nozzle. Why I like the fogger nozzles, is because I can change the jetting to whatever hpr level I want. I can have 35 hpr- 250hpr. The problem is the stock timing, has to be retarded if you go over 75 hpr. The nitrous makes the engine respond quicker, and actually quickens the burn rate, and shoves cold air and extra fuel into the cylinders......result = hpr. Holtzman's system does not require a bottle heater, and that is why I like his system. The difference between systems is if it adds fuel with the N2O, then it is called a wet system. No fuel, dry system (not as much hpr.). NOS sytems has sowmobile systems, with bottle heaters. Those are the components I have. Hope this help ya buddy!

Thanks Terry, being that I don't know that much about it I'd probably go with a kit that has all the instructions. I may try Freddies air box mod first, then add NOS or something like that, I'll have to give him a call, sounds like he sure knows his stuff with these sleds.
