So I am very ashamed to say I did not store my nytro properly at the end of last season. Any suggestions for start up? I'm very scared of bad gas and moisture. My 99 vmax 600 blew up on me after the first ride of the season a couple years ago and I believe it was do to bad gas and moisture. Now I have a brand new 08 nytro fx rtx and do not want the same fate for it as my vmax. Will just syphoning and filling with new gas do the trick? And I'm pretty sure I can kiss my battery goodbye right? Much needed suggestions, thanks.

Drain the fuel and add fresh fuel with your gas treatment of choice. I've used Seafoam for 20 yrs. and am very satisfied with it's capabilities. Once you've done this, get yourself an Optimate charger and hook it up. I've recovered numerous batteries over the years I've owned mine. With a properly charged battery, cycle your key on and off several times, waiting for the fuel pump to stop each time. I've done this procedure for both my 06 Attak and 11 Apex XTV. It will cycle fresh fuel to the injectors. I've also learned to hold the key in the on position until the motor fully starts. Fouled 2 sets of plugs in my Attak before I learned this little trick. Let us know how it works out!!

If there's only a couple litres of old fuel, fill it up with fresh stuff and it should be fine. I left my battery in the sled all summer and it still works like a champ.

Definitely syphon all the old gas out...today's "ethanol enhanced" gas just kills small engines. Put in some fresh fuel, charge up the battery and fire it up. All should be good.

so you didnt learn your lesson from your last snowmobile eh? syphon fuel put fresh stuff in there try to start it, if the battery doesnt have a charge, charge it. these engines are a bit more forgiving than dirty old two smokes :4STroke:

All you need to do is put some seafoam in the tank, top it up with fuel and away you go. I don't trickle charge the battery all summer. It just sits and fires right up. Original battery on my 09 nytro and no signs of dieing yet. So many myths out there. The ethanol in your fuel is fine, chances are none is even in there anyway. If your tank was kept full all summer your gas won't even be bad. 4 strokes are a bit more hearty than 2 strokes. Not as my much to worry about.

Never have tendered my battery and still feels the same as it did new. If your last fill was with premium, I wouldn't be too worried. I usually just top up with fresh fuel and go. Don't be too worried!

top it up and go its a 4 stroke. I have not had any issues with mine the past 3 years and i have not done anything special before putting it away. If you use premium the gas will still be good. just my 2 cents take it or leave it.

add b3c mechanic in a bottle to your old fuel..it will revitalize the stale fuel after about 10min..

NEVER had battery on charge or changed out fuel...... I start the nytro up in middle of summer for 10 mins and leave her till winter... no worries... unless you got water and dirt in your tank....

So my tank was pretty much empty so I filled it, put in some star tron and she fired right up! No battery problems at all. Now I just need some snow!!
