NW Turbo finally finished!

give us some more detail...

Do you just have the down pipe and nothing behind it? or is it down pipe then straightpipe backinto the tunnel a ways?

You will need your A/F probe to be atleast a few inches from the end, as you dont want to get misreads on your ratio...

My slydog rear wheels still look perfect. I am running a 2 wheel axle setup without any problems with boost. What problems have you heard about? I have not seen any.

maybe it was on earlier designs.
it was prob early last season or maybe even before that.
saw pics of taco/folded slydog wheels..
as if not enough cross section strength.

but it sounds like their working now.

have heard of several and witnessed one...where the two wheel (inside the skid) wheels just gave way, and collapsed...but was not a slydog thing, was a two wheel thing..saw billet and composite do it...

But am personally going inside wheel kit, but the new three wheel one from the Oft boys...

This one?? :jump:

currently my sled has a straight pipe going from the down pipe to the stock exit location with the air fuel probe near the end of the straight pipe.

What I want to do is drill my down pipe a port for my air/fuel sensor and just dump my exhaust into my tunnel right at the end for my down pipe.

if that is all you have, I would suggest adding a little more pipe...have heard somewhere, that you need atleast 4" from end of pipe back in order to not get false readings...And I am pretty sure that is 4" on the other side of a muffler...So, I think you would need more than that with just straight pipe...and realistically just a stub like you have...

you will get air from teh track mixing with exhaust gases causing false readings...

Ya that is what I was thinking Will have to run it back to make it work better. I also think it will be better to get away from the heat exchanger.

So much work to do and so little time. Guys are riding already.

rumor has it a TY'er has dropped his sled off at Skinz, and they are working on an under tunnel mufflered exhaust with seat and all, and oh yeah, some storage!!!!

Rumor is true. Sled is with Skinz for a little R&D time. Cannot wait to see what they come up with.

As far as the AF bungle goes I had mine welded just after the downpipe from the turbo on the exhaust midpipe. Sucks to have the wires for it under the tunnel, but if you use the downpipe your readings will be off. My autometer AF gauge specifically mentions to be at least 4" from the downpipe or it will read rich and you could lean out the sled if you are tuning from the AF readings. I ran the wires back near the turbo and wrapped them in foil tape to lessen the chance of melting. It made it thru one season. Don't know how long it will last.
