Nytro 136 with star relocate suspension setting

I need to replace my 128" Ice attack track after the center shock failed and destroyed it. I've considered adding extensions to the Star relocate and going to the 136" Ice Attack track. I don't get off trail much so how do you think this setup would perform on the trails?

I have by ridding 121's all my life and will be putting on a few hundred miles this weekend I will let you know how it handles on the trail!

I've been a short track guy also. I really don't want heavier steering and lose trail performance but if it's just a matter of making a few adjustments to get it back, that's OK. I checked with muffinworks for a rail extension that would work with the relocate and they don't make one. Is Hartman the only place to get the short rail extension? I'm not going to sacrifice the relocate for the full 136" extension kit.

I have the tracks usa one, and it has held up great. My brother has one on his also, first mod I did to both sleds about 5,000 miles ago.

I like the looks of the Tracks USA extensions. What did you do for a tunnel extension. I don't have have an extension with the 128" relocate but would think that the 128" tunnel extension would cover the track instead of doing a full 136".

Has anyone made shock or spring changes with this setup. I need a new center shock and can't decide if I want to go back to the revalved stock with dual rate springs, a more reliable new Fox Zero Pro shock or a used Ohlins that I found at a good price . The Fox Zero has no compression or rebound adjustments and the Ohlins would require removing one of the front inner wheels which concerns me a bit. I was happy with the stock RTX shock setup until it blew out.

If I go from the 128" to a 136" track do you think trail performance is going to suffer in anyway?

No tunnel extension with my 128 rail extensions. No spring or shock changes in mine except dual rate on center shock. I don't think 136 can hurt, even studded. I have a 97 ac pantera, and if I didn't think about it, I could not tell it from a zr with 121. I think the nytro needs a long foot print.

I wasn't aware of a 128" tunnel extension. I went with a Tracks USA 136" extension that I bought from Ulmer racing. I think the Nytro looks way better with the extra length the extension provides.
I don't think you will notice much difference between the 128 and 136 as far as handling on the trail. The longer track should bridge the bumps a little better too.

I haven't done any revalving with the shocks yet,but am in the process of installing a dual rate spring.

I have the Hartmann 121-128 Extension on my RTX now and was considering removing it to install the Star Relocate kit. If so, the extension will be available for cheap! If I didn't just install the 128 track I would extend it to a 136 but the 128 fits my riding style anyhow.
