Nytro Bars VS. Apex Bars,No need to wait for APEX bars

Hey all....

Ive spoke about this before....I just thought Id put some pics up and show the comparison between the NYTRO bars and APEX(06) Bars.

For anyone who is waiting still for APEX updated bars...most dealers HAVE NYTRO bar Updates instock...while APEX updates are all backordered...you CAN use NYTRO updated bar kit and simply BUY a 07 APEX riser block...this will make your 06 APEX IDENTICAL to and 07 APEX.

FACTS on bar updates....
-06 NYTRO,07 APEX,07 NYTRO are all IDENTICAL BARS.

06 APEX bars were different,so yammie decided they would make ONE BAR from now on,instead of one type for NYTRO and anothe Type for APEX....this is why you can get NYTRO updated bars easily,since they are identical to 07 APEX bars.

because of this,the UPDATED APEX bars are STRICTLY BEING MADE for the 06 guys with poor heaters.This is why yammie is making them slowly,as they do not want to get stuck with leftovers,they obviously didnt make enough.

Personally when i found all this out..i felt i would much rather make my 06 APEX IDENTICAL to all 07 APEX's....but to do that you need to buy the taller riser since the nytro/07 apex bars are FLATTER(less rise)

So for those who dont want to wait,and like the LOOK of a taller alum riser block,just take the nytro update,which is exact same as the 07 apex bars...and order a 07 apex riser and 4 mount bolts...the caps can be reused.

After all,if you smack up your UPDATED 06 bars youve been waiting forever for,you probably wont be able to BUY those bars 2 yrs down the road,you will probably have to buy 07 bars and the taller riser...since yammie is only going to make enough to get them out of this mess.

In these pics..you can see the RISER BLOCK for 07 VS. 06 riser...its about 1-1/4" taller,however......when you see the new FLATTER bars ontop,you can plainly see the END RESULT HEIGHT is near EXACT same as the 06 APEX was.

SO,if you cant wait and dont mind spending approx 57 bucks for riser and bolts,see if your dealer has NYTRO update instock....the riser came in 3 days and is NOT on backorder.

Ha ha ha dan we have already done this,the only thing you forgot to mention is that the nytro bars are 1" overall longr in length,so you have 1/2 " on each side longer to put powermadd guards etc. with out hitting the e-brake lever,and it may add more leverage to turn with a longer bar,other than that you have preety much covered it,nice job dan.. actually that is not true....the nytro bars are same as apex update WIDTH....they are 1/4" wider on each side then the OLD 06 bars yes...and yes there is more FLAT area for easier install of guards,this is mainly cause the 07 rtx comes with guards now.

I just keep reading and having people PM me about using NYTRO bars,and for some reason NOONE thinks you can use them,when in reality they nytro bars are same as apex 07 bars...

So these pics will at least show everyone the things they need to do ,since most guys STILL have NOT received there UPDATE APEX bars....this is their alternative.

wish it would snow damnit!...the nect 2 weeks still looks above average with mild temps!..looks like we might not even get ice this entire season!

Are the 06 Updated bars lower than the old bars on the 06? I would like to know if this is the case so i can get a taller riser. Hopefully its the same seeing how i bought the riser and pivot adapter and still haven't ridden it yet!

looks like they are flowing in now....just remember,IF you smuck them up....yammie MOST LIKELY wont have these "ONE OFF" 06update bars to replace em....

GLad to see the warmer issues finally being resolved!....

i just hope they are warm!...cause even revving 5 gs in my garage for 2-3 minutes they only are slightly warm....while older yammies at that time and Rs would have burned your hands off by then!.

I spoke with Yamaha customer service today. They imposed and "allocatiion hold" on the 07 updated bars because some dealers were over-ordering. Customer service agreed to ship the bars to my dealer in my name. If you want the 07 bars, call customer service. If your dealer already placed an order, customer service will designate an order for you and ship them. Good luck!
