The ribs on the top of my belts are coming off at 500 miles , sled is bone stock and nothing has been changed any ideas.

you either got a bad belt from the factory or your clutches are not lined up to spec. check offset and center to center and correct if needed.if you dont have these tools buy them now. vendors on this site sell them and they are a good investment.

With the new belt out of the primary, does a new belt set in the secondary very close to even with the top of the sheaves or slightly above the sheaves? It should. When you are WOT, are the RPMs right? Does a brand new belt squeal a little when idling? It may a little, but not a lot. Does the belt squeal any on WOT? It should not.

Did you break in the blown belt for ~ 50 miles before you WOTed it? Are you riding in a lot of powder? This can cause a belt to slip when wet. Did you clean off the sheaves and belt at the beginning of the year? Sometimes there is mold release compound on the belts, which causes slippage, overheating and eventual failure.

Grader's right. Get the tools, and use them. This may be a good time to check offset, center-to-center and deflection, just to rule it all out. I doubt a new sled would be off much. But, until you check it, how do you know?

Lots of little things to look at that can give you insight into what is going on. But, after checking into all this, it still could have just been a bad belt. But, … Having checked all the other stuff gives you the confidence that it was most-likely the belt.
