I know I need to replace my skis and get the oft relocation kit. But until I do. I am stuck with stock skis my question is how much carbide is to much. I have the xtx 144” track and it is not studded. As of now I have dual 9” carbides on each ski. Back gets loose when I deceleration fast on hard pack. Would dual 4” be good? Can I just grind some carbide off??

Do you have stock 2009 single runner skis or 2010+ tuner I/IIs with dual carbides? Check out the Bergstrom website, he has some great Nytro suggestions for stock 2009 or tuner skis. I went with tuner IIs and his full set up and amazing.

They are the stock 09 skis with stud boy or woodys dual carbides. Just seems like a lot of carbide for no studs even being the xtx model shouldn’t need that much should it??

6” max with no studs.

Ok thank you. Do you thing I can just grind them down to 6” eliminate some of the carbid I really don’t want to buy another set. They are duel carbides

What trackers do you have semi aggressive? I’ve read that they are dangerous lol. I mainly ride in tughill and old forge so a lot of icy conditions usually.

Ok I see some on eBay for $169. How do you set up your nytro with them? Do you run the limiter straps loose to keep weight off of front end ?

im pretty sure my limiter straps are in the stock position--I set my toe in toe out at zero when I replaces all front end bushings and ball joints and ski bushings--- When I had my attak I did pull up the limiter straps tighter by one notch but have not changed them on this nitro xtx with 1.75 backcountry track

Full Bergstrom setup has that same slot car feel w triple points, I was torn between the trackers and Berstrom, happy w decision.
