NYTRO DRIVESHAFT

Does any one know if the nytro drive shaft on a non reverse nytro is the same as a normal nytro with reverse? The fisch shows the same part number but with a (-01) for all reverse nytros.... The 08 nytro doesnt have the (-01) and is back ordered..... Just hoping i dont have to change out my drive shaft to take my reverse off

I did the same....got rid of reverse. You need the nut that threads onto the shaft (and maybe a washer...can't remember) to retain the bottom gear. Pretty sure the 01 shaft is the updated shaft that solves the broken bolt problem. Believe that updated shaft first surfaced in MY 2010.

I just dont use my reverse enough, so why not shed a few pounds of rotating mass....

Yup, and ride knowing you don't have reverse. Never had it....and don't miss it.
