I am pumped to now be part of the Nytro family. During the season I test rode the RTX & XTX & found I was better suited to the long track. My dealer had a 2011 & 2013 in stock. With little differences between the two year models, the 2011 was priced where I couldn't say no, so it was the clear winner.

Sweet! I jumped on a Nytro also, I picked up a slightly used (205miles) RTX, I couldn't pass up the deal and decided to see how things go for the Vipers before I jump on one, maybe even wait for Yamaha to make their own replacement for the Nytro. I did get to ride it for a few miles, you're going to love the engine and want to do some minor mods. These are great sleds with some adjustments and mods I can see keeping it for a few years.
Read through the FX forum and keep in mind that some people will bitch and complain about the same thing over and over so it seems like there are major issues...there's not, I could ride this thing stock but I am going to relocate the steering post, add skid plate, 96 studs down the middle and change the skis or add Snow Trackers.

Good luck!

First few things I'm going to do is:
- install new carbides
- stud it
- install tall windshield

Obviously I'll need to adjust shocks accordingly, yes it'll be a long summer!!

I wanted a second sled. I have a touring & love it but wanted to get a crossover as well. The Viper is a sled I'll keep my eye on as a third sled.

Even my son gave the Nytro the thumbs up!!!

Pull of the carbides and take it for a rip on the grass LOL! Congrats!

good sled i bought a 13 xtx 3 weeks ago , hope you got a good deal , better front shocks on the 11 but better skies on the 13 and two controls for hand and thumb. and i got the 1.75 track which is great in powder, enjoy and you have a few months to drool. get the biggest windshield poss. and look to carry gas , you will need it no range 150km MAX

In my experience if you're trail riding 160 kms is not a problem. Trail riding I've been averaging 17-18 mpg. Have managed to sneak upwards of 20 mpg a few times but it's not usually the norm. If conditions are right out though it is doable. At least on mine it is. Last big ride I was on I put on 96 miles at -30C with 6-8 inches of fresh powder on the trail. Worked out to just over 18 mpg.(cdn)

Will be a long summer waiting I'm sure. Could always head west and north then go ridding.lol.. Still probably a couple of weeks left of ridding here yet. Hopefully you enjoy it once you get a chance to go riding.
