Nytro MTX as a trail sled

Always had great grooming in Revy and Sicamous. CLUBS DO A GREAT JOB!

Yes, if you want to ride the non groomed access points, they get some pretty interesting whoops! Coming out of Turtle last week was a rough one. So was Josalyn (Spelling??)

I just got back from my last trip north for the year with my 2010 Nytro MTX. Trails were rough and ungroomed for the last three weeks. Rode a mix of trail and I guess they call it "off trail" as I have learned recently. My sled sucked at trail riding so much we managed to only ride 300 miles over the two days. It also only got 14.9 MPG. The "Off Trail" riding consisted of 6'+ deep heavy wet snow with lots of long steep climbs. We also rode the Canada/NH Border Cut for the first time.

These are all ungroomed trail systems and are unmaintained by the club except Eagles. The club trail systems are not like that, though they can get bad the club will run the groomer every day at days end on weekends or during busy time.
Plus thats what happens when everybody with there dog wants to ride here. If everybody rode where they lived, our trails would stay nice.

Yup I realize that. Did not say anything bad about the clubs or anything to that manner. The Boulder trails are great as well as the trails around sicamous. All I said is where we ride the whoops can get crazy big. I dont have a problem with that one bit. Not slamming the clubs either. They do a great job and glad they are there. I am sure the tourism dollar is what keeps them open when non locals are paying 20 bucks a day to use them.

YamahaRider10, did you mean 6 inches of heavy deep snow? I have a buddy who lives in Colebrook, NH........ 6 feet might be the 2 year total, not the one day ride......... Just wondering?

I wonder if that 2011 MTX SE was ever sold. If I had the cash I would have driven down there immediately and bought it to update my 04 RX1M.

I don't mind my MTX on the trails. I ride a Renegade XP e-tec 600 at work and yes it is faster, yes it handles much better, yes it is lighter. BUT the sled is boring to drive. I so much enjoy riding my MTX on and off trail. It is just so much more fun.

I personally never minded the nhtro mtx on the trail either. J didn't ride much trail only when I took my grandfather on a trip in north north dakota. But my nhtro handled great and had no issues. Other than some good hyfax wear nothing some scratchers couldn't solve.

My son is riding a 09 mtx on Wisconsin trail system and loves it. There are 2 things he doesn't like in clutch. It jumps at start and makes a lot of rattle noise. What clutch rollers, etc would be best for trail riding and are there washers to install to reduce noise? I thought I heard the noise fix only last a 1000 miles or so, which is fine. Thank you very much!
