I'm new to Nytro, I've been doing a lot of reading on here. I really love my 2008 FX Ntryo RTX Anniversary edition (1500km) But I've lost some confidence in it. My buddy bent his sub frame on his (not going very fast maybe 10km) I'd also like to add on a ungroomed trail. But After looking at the damage to his I notice that my right spindle is slightly more upright than my left. I do have an appointment to put a set of gussets on mine through Grizztracks as well as ordered a full skid plate from mountaintech. Is there anything else I can do to get my confidence back in this sled. Like I said I love it but have been considering selling it on the what ifs that I've been reading on here. I've heard that people are welding plates on the spindles to make them stronger. So my has questions are: Has anyone welded the plate on the spindles to help strengthen them? If so what was the feeling after riding with them? And finally is there anything else I could do to get some confidence back in this machine to be able to have fun riding, jumping etc. hahaha. There seems to be a lot of support here and I really can't wait to get the gussets and skid plate installed... Any advice anyone is willing to offer would be greatly appreciated. I want to add I do have the tuner skis on this sled, as well as HID low beam.

Best thing to do is to put on a aftermarket front end like ZBros or Skinz it makes the sled a hole new riding experience and do a steering post relocating.

If I sell it I think Id have to give up on Yamaha, I don't think I would go Apex. The only othe sled id buy if I went back to 2 stroke would be the MXZ 800 for the 1200 4 tech if I stuck with 4 stroke. It's a fun sled to ride and with the tuner skis there is no darting that I've experienced although it's only 200 k I've put on them. The steering relocate is a viable option maybe for next year. Although I don't fully understand the benefits of it.

It puts the bars on more of a level plan. Here's this help my

It helps a lot in making it turn, Grizztracks sells a kit for under 100 bucks and it has worked great for me.

Here's the post of the one I did

I really don't wanna go back to SkiDoo though. Not a believer in Polaris and artic cat isn't an option for me.[/quot

A little work on the nytro and its a great sled you never will have to think about the motor.

What are the top 5 things you guys would do to your Nytro to keep the Love alive? I'm hoping 2 would be the full skid plate and Grizz's gussets on the top 5 list! And thanks a lot Apex 06 for your suggestion.

Does anyone have an idea why my right spindle would be seated a little more straight up and down as opposed to leaned back on the left side?

Power Commander, K&N intake, Exhaust full, clutching with this setup the power is just non stop it really wakes the sled up. Then A better front end then stock, I add a 2.5" riser to the bars too and it made standing up and ride a lot better.

One spindle is more up right then the other is probably a good indication of a tweaked sub frame. Are your shocks in the middle of the top a arm when looking straight down on them. If not then they should be. A simple pry one way or the other with a long heavy crowbar does the trick. Lots of info on here about bents sub frames and what to look for.

Some possibilities are: a tweaked subframe, worn a-arm bushings, or a loose a-arm bolt.

Mine was from worn A-arm bushings

You are on the right track with the upgrades you are going to do. You were just a little late on the gussets. Subframe can still be straightened and welded so don't worry about it. A lot of us on here have done what you are doing. I wouldn't give up my nytro.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the knowledge and advice. I'm replacing the bushings when I get the gussets put on. After that and the skid plate I might wait and start pegging things off 1 by 1 to improve the sled if needed. Put some good kms on it instead of being scared in gonna break it in half haha.
