Nytro riders what does your significant other ride?

My wife hasn't ridden since our first son was born 5 yrs ago but before that she rode my old 02 viper. She did ok but I think it was a touch too much for her at times. She says she wants to get back into riding so I bought my Nytro for myself and she will ride my 05 rx1(once I get it running right, ethanol gas messed up the carbs bad). Though I fear the rx1 will be way too much. Going to wait and see how it goes for now but I may find myself picking up a phazer.

2011 poo switchback 600 been a good sled for her but now she thinks she needs something bigger and talking about a Cat. Told her she would need a different mechanic. I am starting to feel sick.

That would almost be grounds for divorce. I told you she was going to get back at you Doc . for buying that power upgrade kit. I didn't think she would go that low . You might want to take her to see a doctor.

2003 Vmax 600ER. Great wind protection and she finds it comfortable to ride. Decent performance, all she needs.

This is a question that needs more info. For instance my wife maybe rides 100-200 miles all year which equates to about 2ea weekends for her. Is your wife a super star
or like my wife. On another note my wife is the size of a hobbit so everything she rides is always too heavy or too hard to handle. We have purchased numerous sleds for her
over the 20 years of being married. The Phazer is the first sled she rode all day and said "don't touch it", I like it just the way it is.

I always notice that most people on this site that have a Phazer in their signature always have (wife's sled) next to it like it's some excuse for having one. I'll tell you that
I'm not embarrassed to have one. It is fun as hell to ride. After riding the nytro for a full day and then hoping on the Phazer you can really notice the weight or lack of.

FYI on the Phazer: Don't get an 07 unless you can verify all the updates/fixes have been done. Plenty of reading in the Phazer forum on that.

Good luck!

Very good info guys. I wanted to get some input to what was popular. I was leaning towards the Phazer because of the weight and reliability. Great info about the 07 beiter01. She wouldn't ride over a 100 miles a day, just rides when other spouses go along. I also wanted a backup sled at the cabin for anyone to ride. The insurance would be the lowest on a Phazer as well.

Mine rides a phazer. 2008 base model to be exact. She loves my nytro because she finds it more comfortable but says it it too hard to steer. I lover her phazer because after 100 miles of muscling the nytro around on the trails the phazer feels effortless to ride.
She does lover her phazer too though. I think i may stretch it out to a 136 this summer for her though. This should settle the rear end of the phazer down on soft trails under acceleration and engine breaking... More like my nytro xtx with BC track :)
Phazer is an awesome backup trail sled though. I take it some times with my buddies just to ride something different. It has decent speed and acceleration as well for on trail use.

My wife loved the feel of a 2011 Phazer, but it was too tippy. I sold it. She rode so little we're just sticking with one sled now and we can always rent another if she wants to ride.

I'd have her try a Venture Lite. It's the Phazer, but with a high windshield (keeps her warm), mirrors (she can see if someone's zooming up from behind), a much more comfortable seat (I hate the phazer's hard and narrow seat), and a 15" wide track instead of a 14" wide track. It's not tippy like the phazer is. My dealer sold one to a guy for his wife to ride and she loves it. The other bonus of it is then you'd have a 2-up sled in case you want to ride with kids, grandkids, etc.

I'd get the Venture Lite or the Ski-doo ACE 600 if I were getting another sled for my wife.

My Wife rode an '04 Z570 for 3 1/2 years starting out- swapped out for 4 fox re-buildables, steering/ got it set up best we could for a "relic".
She ran my '07 Phazer a couple times and didn't like it one bit, WAY to tippy & effort to get it around corners at speed (it does take alot of leaning).
She's now on a '10 Z1 turbo tank and loves it. Planted to the ground on something much heavier, steers great, Snopro suspension & ALL the stock 177 HP + DD box to bump it up over 206 power at the happy flipper.

Wouldn't buy one without having her ride one for the day or so, might find it not the sled for her just cause they're a 'lil 80hp, cheap entry level + everywhere for sale.... Just my .02

After awhile I even got sick of the way it'd tip so easily on any sort of angle and I rode one for 5300 miles.
It rolled down the trail 3 weeks ago....... totaled out.
