Nytro RTX Front Suspension Set Up Options? Revalve?

I am currently in a debacle as to what to do with the front end of my Nytro RTX.

Should I revlave the floats and run them?

Should I add a reservoir like the Fett Brothers?

or should I ditch them and go with a coil over set up? Will the front shocks off other Yamaha models fit the nytro? Like an Apex GT front shocks?

Thanks

What problem are you haveing with the floats??? Mine seem to work fine, just as well or better then anything else I've had I guess. A little air pressure adjustment can make a really big difference I've noticed, I dropped mine 5psi and it was nite and day really as far as ride. Hard to know what advice to give without more info.

After two seasons of minor low cost tweaks (adjustments, new skis, flipping the ski rubbers around, shims under ski rubbers, low pressure in floats, pulling straps in skid, AC transfer blocks on skid) , I am going to suck it up and have Hygear do the trail pro set up on my RTX in the fall. After getting many opinions I am somewhat confident that with the re-valve and the volume canisters I will be much happier. I have also been told that the rear suspension is key to controlling transfer which can be way too much for some peoples liking.

It's amazing what you can get used to...a buddy wanted to try my sled last week so we swapped for a few miles and I rode his 05 rev. The old rev was so easy to ride and handled so well it was almost boring. He gladly gave my nytro back and said " Wow great motor, but I can't believe you can ride that thing so fast in the trails...it seems tippy and hazardous!"

Right now I have the floats set at 50lbs, however that was on the ground. I know I should check pressure with sled in the air. I get a ton of feedback through the handlebars when riding on the trail. I find the front suspension not to be providing much travel. I have found a great thread on HCS regarding the floats on the sno pro cats. Many of them had great success adding reservoirs such as the Fett Brothers canisters.

I have Pioneer preformance valving in my 08 RTX.
Huge improvement over stock valving!

At 40 lbs. while on the ground you're not going to have much travel. You really should get them revalved. You won't be disapointed.

If I get them re-valved will it take the harshness out of front end.
