Hello,
I sold my rx1 recently and I am going to get a nytro. My question is should I get an RTX or an XTX? I ride about half my time on a groomed trail and half in the rough stuff ditch banging. I am wondering which one would suite me better. Also what is the differences between them other than the track length if any? Any advice or input is appreciated.
thanks

No but I like the riding position and the looks of it. The extra suspension travel sounds good too.

My vote is for the XTX, once you go long track you never go back!

Go RTX better shock package and just swap the track for a cross country track

easier to go xtx and buy better shocks after you try it for a while . I have 13 xtx with 1.75. track and works quite well happy with the length with the turned up rails,if you stretch it way more work and probably same money and you would change the whole rails if you want to have them turned up . for me stock shocks are ok and will change only when I have to. I had a rx1 and a warrior but like the suspension and riding position better on nytro way better for off trail and bridges the bumps better,

I heard on other posts that an xtx goes faster than an rtx because of gearing or rear suspension friction. Is there any truth to that?

there is truth, if ur gonna stretch id do a star 128 relocate and 136 in rail extentions. id like to do this to my sled but got no cash... i currently have oft tipped up 136 extentions and loved the sled as a 136..

xtx works in corners , very surprised , no ski lift with Tuner skies . and I have not radared it but I have read some memo's that it is a little faster due to approach angle of track .and it does run free . its hard to modify for the little differance to buy it that way. the 144 tip up works and with the 1.75 track it pulls like a bear . It is not the fastest out there . but that is not why I bought it

Thanks for the info everyone. I ended up buying an 09 nytro xtx. Now i have to get used to it and get firmiliar with it mechanically.
