So to start, i use to have a 2001 SXR 600. Made a few small adjustments to the stock suspension settings and the thing handled like it was on rails. I recently purchased a used '09 Nytro RTX SE. Now I know the center of gravity on a Nytro is higher so it's hard to compare that to the SXR, two totally different animals. I returned all the suspension settings back to stock factory settings out of the manual. I set the front floats to 75 psi and have the front limiter straps pulled up 1 hole to try and get some ski pressure. Also, the sled came with Curve skis. The sled just seems to push through the corners if i'm not hanging off the side and using the j-hooks as leverage to get it to turn. Would like to know what a guy can do to make this animal handle better. Do I adjust the center shock? I don't want to get soft with that setting, afraid of bottoming the shock. I do ride hard. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

There are two settings on your sway bar. Which hole are you in? I would suggest adding a little more air in your shocks to put more pressure on your skis rtather than pulling your limiter and reducing your suspension travel. I am assuming your carbides are not worn out.

Nytro Handling at its Best

Well I to would like to have this same question answered.
I have 2010 RTX SE and yes it will turn with curve ski's on it BUT you have to hang off it and put ALOT of body english into it.
I have adjusted suspension to the point that I've give up and say its the best it will be. Good luck and if you ever get this to work I would buy the info from you(providing it works) and do it on my sled.

Well this is what i did...running diff skies but ... I got polaris weight trans blocks in , rear limiter up one hole and front limiter up one hole front shocks at 90 psi with sway bar out ( Never ran them in any sled i have had ) then just play with setting on shocks to your likein ( I'm running slp powder pros with 6" car. on them ) Let me know how it works . ;)!

my friend has his rear shock hard for two reasons he says it helps cornering and when he comes out of a turn it doesnt squat and lift the skis

Dusty and Foxhead, after reviewing the wealth of knowledge on TY, you can try the Yamaha section of our forum with specific setup scenarios of the Nytro on Curve XS skis.

Year after year, we sponsor more repeat USCC and endurance racers than any other type. Rest assured that with a little time in the beginning of the season, the results you desire will be found.
