Which turbo maker would you go with if you wanted to make a drag sled? I figure I will have about 12k to spend. i want a sled that is a drag sled but that does the races up hills like they were at Excell motor sports. Which setup would you go for if you had 12k to dumb in 2 it? I want no less then 300 HP

Race Impulse kit for sure. Call Paul and Im sure he'll be able to set you up VERY nice!!

No,Not doing the work my self. So what we we be looking at with 10-12k and someone doing the work for me? I know I can get the Nytro with a turbo around 300 HP for 6k. Would 12k get me a turbo kit, longer track and big studs and something a lil lighter? not a full out drag chassis but maybe a new rear suspension to lighten it up and then of course of turbo

Am I missing something here?

Is your Nytro still a 121"? (I see you drive an RTX). Is the sled going to be a dedicated drag sled? Because if you turbo it to that level it won't have any trail manners left at all. Also, with that much power I don't think a lightweight skid will be your concern. I'd think you'd want a skid that will be able to transfer that much power to the track. Just saying.....

No,I am not going to trail ride it. I was going to sell it but instead me and my dad thinks we should make it in to a up hill drag sled. so I was thinking the turbo and all the things i need and making it a 144 inch track with 2 inch lug and 244 pics. I just wouldn't know which suspension could transfer all that power.

look up C3 powersports. They do a carbon fiber chassis.

I just did,but for 8k and only saving 100 lbs which i know is a lot but for 8k i think I will just lighten it up some other ways

I dont think youll be able to get 300hp for under 7K, plus install. I think your gona be LUCKY if you do it for under 12k while paying someone to build it for you. And thats not including much for light weight parts.. Just my .02

no,You are right. 8k plus install for a turbo with that kind of HP. How much do people charge to install how many hrs does it take to install one?

All depends on how your having the motor built?? Just a head shim, or rods and pistons? Are they pulling the motor? or are you bringing it to them? How involved are you gona be? Just a lot of variables...
