Hi guys.. My RTX developed a low speed vibration between 10-20 mph. You can feel it in the left footwell, under hard acceleration it is smooth. The belt has about 150 miles on it. Any common problems I should look for? 08 rtx 7500 miles. Thanks..

Ice in the tunnel and the track hit it. But to be safe check the speedo bearing.

Possible clutch issue? Just a guess but given location. Pull your fresh belt off and inspect for wear for even a small piece of a cog missing. Could try your spare belt to see if it solves it. If thats not the issue open up the primary and inspect and clean.

I had this happen to my 08 and it was a flat spot on the belt. I think the flat spot was a result of being stuck in the snow. Before you dig to deep I would change the belt it fixed mine.

Well I changed the belt with two spares and no change.. Thawed it out and it's still there. Speedo bearing was replaced at the end of last season and has about 300 miles on it.. Hope its not bad again. I may buy a new belt just to take it totally out of the equation. I have three weeks before my trip to figure it out. All suggestions are appreciated!

Do you have a clutch puller? Pop the clutch off and check your stub shaft bearing, mine went out and caused a vibration.

No I don't but I can order one. I remember reading something you posted on it causing a vibration and it was in the back of my mind. Do you replace the whole stub or just bearing? It does seem like there is a bit more clutch rattle than normal.. But it could be mental lol. Thanks!

Entire assembly, I had half the ball bearings out of it. The clutch would wobble pretty good too, could check for that without pulling it.

I did grab primary and try to check for play.. Didn't appear to be much at all but I did order a puller just to be sure. I also noticed the track ratcheted a bit more as well and the tension is pretty tight. Not sure if its related or not, but vibe is definitely in left footwell only. I guess I have to start disassembling related components and ruling them out. I'm going on 1000 mile trip and need to be sure.

How's your drive bearing?

It was replaced late last season and has about three hundred miles on it. I think they did only the pto side and the speedo sensor got taken out as well. The symptoms definitely fit and I'll check it out tomorrow..
