Looking for help. sled starts if i squirt gas into intakes but dies quickly. tried replacing fuel relay (3rd one back?) with new black relay, still no luck. no error codes.
I assume clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump? can't hear any pump noise when turning the key.
i don't see the fuel line or pump location.
any suggestions?

Check your fuses. You should be hearing the fuel pump. You might have to pull your seat and check the fuel pump electrical connector if you don't find any blown fuses. It could be a bad pump. good luck

Sometimes the relays are not in the right place, you may have replaced the wrong one. You should replace all the relays with the updated red relays (except headlight relay, it’s different style)
Also did you check your fuses?

You should absolutely hear that pump when you turn the key. The most common fuel issue is the relay. Try changing other relays with what you got but definitely upgrade to the red relays, it’s a must do.

Does the gauge power up with the key on? Clean the connector for the key switch. It's located just behind the switch.

Clean the big green maxi fuse beside starter solenoid (starter relay) and put some dielectric grease on it too. And also do the same with the red fuse on starter relay( right side) left side is the spare fuse.
Like everyone says as soon as you turn key on you should hear fuel pump kick on.
Just went through all this , this past week myself.
Electricity and snow don’t mix well. Lol

there are two things when dealing with Yamaha sleds that can be your best friends............ Dielectric grease and red Loctite!

The lock nuts used on these sleds don't tend to stay tight after they've been removed and then reinstalled. I use red Loctite on all suspension and steering nuts and bolts to insure they don't loosen when out on the trails. Even after checking over the sled before a ride I've still lost bolts in the skid and even had the top spindle bolt fall out after the nut dropped off. I now apply Loctite to insure that doesn't happen anymore.

just checked at fuel pump. got electric reading on voltmeter for 5-10sec when turning the key. but with fuel line disconnected, no fuel pumping out. does that mean fuel pump for sure? anything else to check first. clogged filter?
just got this beast with under 2000miles, rode it into my shed off the trailer just fine. At first snowfall it died as soon as the skis touched the snow! Love yamahas but not off to a good start with this one

just checked juice at fuel pump for 5-10sec when turning the key but no gas out fuel line...anything besides a faulty fuel pump can do this?
