Does anyone know if you can get a Yamaha nytro xtx tunnel block off plate for the stock exhaust in Canada?

You can for about $20 if you make your own.

look under my user name and you will find the info you need to make your own. They work just as well as any aftermarket supplier and cost about $20-$30 total.

I would just make one. Find a piece of aluminum sheet and trim it to fit where you need it. Thats what I did and cost me about $15.

built one for under $20 and riveted on.

Under between the tunnel protectors

Does it go under the tunnel or on top?
I did on top.

I'm planning on building my own soon also and want it on top, did you leave the lip in to top of the tunnel or did you cut it off before you put the block off on? thanks

I left the lip on. I didn't know how much rigidity of the tunnel you'd loose by removing that ridge. I'm sure someone will chime in with some specific info.

ok sounds good. so was there a gap or was the rivits enough to suck it down all the way around?

Installing a block off plate on top off the tunnel does little to reduce icing. A plate attached to the tunnel protectors works better because it stays cooler and blocks snow from hitting the hotter surfaces. I actually run both.

I have my tunnel protectors removed due to running a 2" track on my xtx. I didn't have any problems last year but I just installed a mbrp pipe and it looks like there is a lot of room on the sides of it since its a small pipe so I was just thinking maybe a block off will help from getting snow and ice packed up in the seat support

When you install in under the tunnel, do the tunnel protectors do anything to hold the plate up? Cause I plan on getting rid of those useless protectors. They don't do anything except add more weight from ice getting stuck from them

Disagree, had no icing issues last year.
