octane?

new to modding, was happy with my apex till now, owners manual says use 87 octane. wouldn't a cheap upgrade be high comp pistons? never seen anyone talk about this on here.

there are no cheap upgrades when taking apart that engine. big bucks replacing internals in engine, especially labour. try a yamacharger for an extra 20 horsers.

i guess i didnt mean cheap, just less expensive then 6000 for a turbo. i see kits for the ri bike and they are gettin 190 horses with pistons and head work for 2 grand

That would definitely be better than spending 2k for that little impeller to blow air. Got a link?

You can get them for less then $6000.00 Ulmer racing has them OR Tom Hartmann.

boosting your compression isnt gonna give you near the HP a 2000 dollar SC will give you.

you are gonna spend alot more then 2 gs on pistons and labour,trust me.
