Take it off the sled and open the case. Put it near a heat source overnight - or a barely warm oven until the crust is golden brown and cheese begins to bubble. I used a lab oven at 165F for a few hours when I had to dry out a speedo. Obviously, there is moisture in the case that needs help to escape.

Yeah you need to open it up dry it. Most heated indoor air this time of year is super dry so just bring it the house. Once it is dry reinstall it and make sure the the connector is sealed properly to avoid moisture re-entering the gauge.

Last trip to the UP we were getting fresh snow everyday all week, so that meant lots of snow dust. Was letting a friend ride my 09 which he was following me and getting wet from the snow dust. The moisture from the snow dust was getting inside the gauge cluster, after a couple days we noticed that half of the cluster image was blanking out at times. When I came home at the end of the week and into the warm weather down state I could see the moisture was gone and cluster image was working fine, however none of the buttons such as set/reset etc will not function anymore. Was going to replace the cluster and was wondering if anyone has used a 11 or newer cluster on their 06-10 and did they have to rewire the plug, or was it even different? Would like to pick up the oil minder and fuel counter functions like my 11 has. Was going to look at some wiring diagrams to see what, if any changes would be required of if even possible, just for the heck of thought I would see if anyone has done this already and what had to be done. TIA.
