The OEM belt will be the most durable. It's made by Mitsuboshi, they produce the best belts.

X 3 OEM, plus they are the cheapest also. Win-win.

I haven't used an OEM belt in a couple years, the one in my sled is an Ultimax 3, it's holding up well and I find it grabs better then the Yamaha belt because of the softer compound

OEM ALL THE WAY! $51.09 at Yamaha Sports Plaza. I ran the Ultimax before. The softer compound ''grabbed'' more, but clutches ran hotter, belt didn't last 1/2 as long & cost close to double the price. The Ultimax could have some value in some drag race situations, but not every day riding...

I agree with what he said ^^^ OEM is a good all around belt and if I didn't get 2 Ultimax belts for 30$ at a local dealer I wouldn't be using them but for the way I clutch my sled they work a lot better then OEM, I'm setup for drag racing and the OEM belt would always slip in the clutches causing an over rev once I put the Ultimax belt in I didn't have an issue anymore

OEM all the way, I've had 2 $70 ultimax belts not make it a whole season. (roughly 1,000 miles) I've never had one blow, but they start to come apart and I take them off and use them as spares. If you didn't ride hard and abuse them they might be fine but I have had OEM belts last a whole lot longer in my experience.

16XX miles on a OEM flat spotted belt and still going... It all in how you break them in

OEM here as well on all 3 sleds. use to run ultimax back in 1996/97 and i kept blowing them apart. never again, switched back to OEM at half the price and never had problems after.

oem works better and is quieter... i use gates cause its all i could find on a sunday ..if ya store em and warm them up with the track up you won't burn flat spots on them..i've never blew a gates a dayco but i've blew a few brand new oem's .. i don't put allot of miles on but its mostly in the powder or little narrow unmaintained trails that a goat wouldn't walk on .
