looking for the best/ most reasonable place to buy oem parts. I need some upper a arm bushings for my 2003 rx1 and my local dealer wants $13 per bushing!

Don't mess with the cheap plastic OEM bushings, they wear out very quick. Get the oilite bushings from Ulmer or Pioneer.

Allen told me I would need to get OEM bushings for the upper arms since the 2003 model had steel arms

I agree on the oilite bushings. Do not waste your time and money on the OEM bushings.
As far as a good place to buy Yamaha parts at a discount try Port Yamaha. They are a TY advertiser and I believe that they discount Yamaha parts, accessories, & clothing 20% off of retail. Call Kevin and he will take good care of you.

Call Kevin @portyamaha and order your parts. I have seen the OEM go 10,000 plus miles, alittle grease yearly goes a long way!

Okay, here,s my take, Oilite yep better ,the answer not totally, ZERTS . Did both of my 06 mtns ,( one turbo other just clutch and geared) 2010 a-arms that have factory zerts, and lower bulkhead bolts that year have zerts also. Drill and tap spindle for zerts. Shot of grease every 3rd or 4th ride , what a difference in the feel of front end. Saves your bulkhead too.
