#of links on a stock 2004 RX1 non ER?

I have a 2004 Yamaha RX1 I regeared to a 21 tooth upper and now have a chain that fits but i will only get one year out of it. I am going to need a shorter chain, but i need to know the number of links on the stock chain. Thanks much all!

I think you will need a 68 but with out knowing the bottom gear size it is hard to say but that came with a 24 / 38 stock an long where 23 / 38 an a 70 links chain if you let me know what size of bottom gear you are running we can tell you what size you need.

Thanks Darv, it has the stock 38 bottom. It was a stock 24 top. This will just work best for the mods and clutching i am going to.

i had 22 -38 in mine before & used 68 chain.

A stock 04 mountain has a 21 top gear and 40 tooth bottom gear with a 70 link chain. White secondary spring set at 70 degrees twist.

Hey Sled Dog, my sled was a 121 with a 24/38 factory gearing. I guess i need to fix my sig LOL.
