2014 xf7000 this weekend runs perfect starts perfect but sometimes off idle dies like you turned the key off. Started back up no problem just does it occasionally. Any ideas? Seemed like it started right after filling up but nobody else had any issues so I don’t think it’s the fuel.

No that I see
Well back in 14 the original flash would out of blue have a low idle. The 16 flash which was before the newest would actually stall out totally for no reason. No that I see

Great timing on this thread. My 14 XTX is having the same, or similar problem. Yesterday, in a 140 mile ride, my grandson said it shut down 3 or 4 times, usually when coming to a stop, like a stop sign, or a parking lot. I also noticed that the last half dozen times that I started it, it would start right up even in sub zero cold, but at least 2 or 3 times, it just shut down for no apparent reason. After it shut down, when I cranked, the only way I could get it to catch and start was to give it a little throttle and hold it.
Back when I got my 2016 XTX, I was having stalling problems while riding, very similar, and it turned out to be the shut off switch in the throttle. The dealer told me that there was a piece of "hard" grease in the mechanism that was causing it. My grandson rides the 2014, so I haven't experienced the shut downs while riding, but I was wondering if it could be an issue with the throttle like I experienced with my 2016?

I wondering if the throttle safety was the issue. My sons ZR500 did the same thing. We bypassed it never stalled again. I wonder if there is a way to bypass it in these sleds?

Ironic this happened to our 2014 Saturday as well. We had 114 miles on, and I was putting the two in the garage, as my daughter had ridden it all day. It stalled on my twice going up the driveway.
I do believe we are on the original ECU program, as it has had a PCV since new. So we never had it flashed. It has run awesome as well. We avoided updates due to the issues that came with the first reflash. And I was thinking I needed to pull the PCV to take it in. (just lazy I guess)

What is the pcv? On a car it’s positive crankcase ventilation. I see people referring to pcv just want to know if that’s what they are referring to and where it is.

Power Commander 5. Combined with Ulmer Clutching, Air box mods, pipe and you have a monster. It's a fuel controller basically

This is perfect, and may be my exact issue. I'm used to a TORS error cord on the Yamaha ECU's. I was turning tight in the driveway to put the viper away when this happened. I'm going to adjust and check my TPS. Good find, TY
