Re: time.
Good advice Groomer
I would plan on two hours. Maybe 3 beers. Not necessarily in that order. It's not a difficult install, but requires some patience with the smaller parts involved with taking the throttle block apart. And whatever you do, hold on tight to anything you are holding over the belly pan

Groomer08 said:i did mine in 3 hours with an hour and a quarter spent searching for one plastic trim rivet, and the clear washer for the throttle down in the belly pan. USE A TOWEL TO CATCH PARTS!!! belly pan is hungry!!
i used a sawzall to cut and table grinder to clean up. a lil black spray paint made it look tidy.

I installed my kit late at night while my sled was in my basement, so not wanting to make any noise I just bent the upper bearing retainer instead of trimming. Also, I just removed the throttle cable and moved to the other side of the bars, as opposed to pulling the whole block apart. Added a 4 inch riser along with the OFT kit on my XTX and didn't even have to adjust the throttle cable, and no TORS. Here in NEPA we have about 4-5 inches of light, dusty powder. SUCKS!! Still managed to get 20 miles on yesterday just goofing around on nearby lakes and fields. Waaaaayyy different sled! Waaaaayyy better standing up! No more jabbing my inside leg or tank when in tight spots! Much easier to hang over the inside ski to help keep it down! This is a quality, well machined, good looking product too. I've seen a ton of billet, aluminum, magnesium, and titanium machined race parts from Rocket, Bicknell, Bert, Winters, Teo, etc. This OFT kit is right there with them. Keep up the good work, and thank you. OFT ROCKS!!!!
P.S. - Took it to a friend to get some cosmetics done last night. There were 5 guys there that ride various makes and models, not Yamaha. They all sat and stood on my sled. All 5 wanted to know what model Nytro it was because, "This feels a lot better than that one at the demo."

Well, now that some of you have gotten some miles on with the Relocator, what do you all think? Let us know if you are riding on trail, off trail, boondocking, ditch banging, jumping or plain old bar hopping

I ride some rough trails in Tug Hill Plateau and must admit the OFT relocator is by far the best modification I have done to my Nytro XTX! At 6'-3" I struggled to find a comfortable position of being able to leverage myself to gain confidence with controlling this sled. No mater, what kind of trails you ride the Nytro stock steering column position needs attention and this was the answer to what i was looking for. I can finally push my XTX through various riding conditions with much more improved rider input. Well done OFT, A+ quality product!
Thanks Badsled!
It never ceases to amaze me how simply a design flaw can be overcome! We are glad to hear you are pleased with the results!

its sweet.
Its def a huge improvement over stock.
i'm 6'1" and i did it just so the bars turned on a flatter plane, i dont like bars hitting your knees while leaning.
The sled is extremely comfortable whether sitting or standing now.
I'd say i pretty much do rough trail...xcept those few times i've had groomer support this year!(i think they've made 3 passes this year)
