I got to ride my GT for the first time since having Pioneer re-valve my rear shock. Definately seems stiffer (I also upgraded to the heavier spring) I am having difficulty loosening the collars on the shock to adjust the preload. The stock wrench that Yamaha gives you in the tool kit kind of sucks. Anyone try an Ohlins wrench and is it any better than what I've got? If its worth it -where can I get one?
I just did mine. Make sure track is of the ground. I had a hardtime with mine I broke the first loose with a long flat head scew driver and hammer. Then I turned the black one with the wrench and turned the spring at the same time. I weigh 260 My spring is compressed 2 inches.
becareful the lock nut doesnt turn w/ the adjusting ring as i found out the hard way when it screw the threads up on the shock and had to get another shock to replace it.
