I am not sure, but it looks like every once in a while I am getting oil blowing out through my check valve at the top of my cooler. Is this normal? I have checked everywhere else and it looks like from there. It is not too big of an issue really, just wondering why and if that is OK or not. I am running at 12 Pounds of boost with a rear mount MCX (new style) in an APEX. Should I carry extra oil for that? I have played with 2 stroke turbos and have had them spit oil when upside down, but this is happening when right side up. Can someone fill me in?

I havn't had to add a drop of oil to mine with over 1,000kms with the mcx.

Not had to add any oil here either with 800km under boost. Hate to admit it but it's been rubber side up a couple of times (I try hard) and I still haven't lost any oil, just had the warning symbol come on a couple of times. I would be checking into why and first off do a cyl leakdown test to see if there is blow-by. I suppose it could be a turbo seal? Pull off the intake line and see if there is oil in the charge tube.ken_climb said:I havn't had to add a drop of oil to mine with over 1,000kms with the mcx.

Hmmmmmm, Charge tube must have some oil in it since the "T" to the valve and the intake is connected within a few inches. It is not consistently doing it (yet), just every once in awhile.

I just took my intercooler off so I could send my box out for the big boost mapping. I looked inside the cooler and it was free from oil. I did the the same thing as slymax major wheelie and then ohhh fugggg......... end over end. By the time I got to the sled it had laid track side up for over a minute. A bit of oil came out of the crankcase breather. Flipped her over it started right up and spanked it somemore. I love boost
