well after looking on a few other snowmobile site, they all offer several service manuals from various companies without any paid membership. so I was able to obtain a copy from them. but regardless I did manage to use both the manual and the references you made to complete the rather long task.
my photo and video skills are less then desirable and it's something I'm going to work on.
I completed my motor oil change and chain case oil change in just over 6 hours (plus a trip to the hardware store for a new drain plug)
I will post my few photos and video links below.
the whole process was fairly easy after reviewing the printed material references. one should not that since you have the air box off its also a good idea to clean the filter.
my 2 biggest issues were the drain plug for the oil on the engine was torqued rather high. after stripping our the horribly designed Allen key fastener I cut the end square and use a socket with a torque gauge.. it broke free at 72ft lbs. why would the need for it to be that tight is far beyond me.
the second issues was the same overly torqued part of the oil filter. I wasn't able to put a gauge on it. but I had to use a chain style removal tool to actual break it free. in the picture I linked to you can actually see the rubber o-ring from the filter is still firmly attached to the engine.
