oil change kit from Yamaha

Just curious, but I had to ask...I was at my dealer today and noticed they had the oil change kits, the kits for the 4 cyl sleds contained 3 litres of oil while the 3 cyl kits contained 4 litres, I know most guys just dump 3 litres in and call it a day me included, why did Yamaha have 3 litres for the 4 cyl and 4 litres for the 3 cyl kits??

3.2. provided you get it all out, which seems impossible unless you raise the front of your sled up to get the extra out of the oil/filter and tank drains.
