I know it has been discussed but I can't find the thread. Anyone know why the cat oil change kit is synthetic and viper is semi?

The Vipers use full synthetic(gold) . That's how they shipped from factory also. You really only need 4 quarts and a oil filter , no kit needed. I think the kit came with the o-rings for the drain but those can be reused a bunch of times just as long as there not damaged.

The manual called for semi but has since been change to full synthetic if you look it up on line . I would get the kit if the o ring gets damaged you will be good to go instead of going back to the dealer again..
