Oil comes out of vent line?

I have the ulmers turbo and the vent line runs along the outside of the oil tank. Once while being tuned the sled was being run with out the belt and after a while I had noticed a small amount of oil had come out of the vent line. My question is why did it do this and has it happened to any one else? I almost had a heart attack when I saw it and would really like some further information on this? I want to thank every one on here for any help I have got or will get in the future, really gives me a piece of mind an a true upper hand against other people with other sleds. I almost feel bad for people who dont come on here or dont own a 4stroke yammi.

Just get used to your sled puking oil. It happens on all the yammys regardless of NA or boosted. It's really to bad yamaha couldn't have bothered to pay more attention to small details like this. I ride with a small bottle of oil in my pack. :o|

I just got my turbo rx1 together and having the same problem with oil coming out of vent line. Is there any thing to slow this down? It is pucking [/b]alot of oil!!! :o|

Its kinda a double blade sword, boost is fun, boost makes it alot worse. I really dont know a n/a engine that has blow by issues. Yes know a few with boost that have issues, myself also. Best bet other than looking inside the engine for problems is a banday fix. Need a catch can & returnt oil back to the engine. Mount it hi as possible, mine is just below the cowling, drains in top of valve cover. This is on a RX1, Im not really up on nytros.

Mine just gets a slight mist that coats the surface around my breather filter, and i'm talking slight. I get a little steam but absolutely nothing PUKING...

I was always told the crankcase breather was a tell tale sign of the condition of the piston and rings. When alot of oil mist (or oil) starts coming out due to excessive blow-by then time for a cylinder leak-down check. Usually evident that detonation has rattled a piston...

The FPP Nytro stage-1 that I test rode a few weeks ago had a completely dry crankcase breather filter, so I don't think the Nytro is a puker by nature...
But all depends on how the breather is plumbed. The Nytro breaths from the oil tank and not the actual crankcase, like the 4 cylinders do. Do you have a scavange / return oil pump on the Ulmer kit? If it's dumping back into the breather line you might be pushing oil that way... or your oil level is too high?
Can you post a picture of the breather routing?

None of my yamaha sled are puking oil out the breathe hole on the block.

Even on dyno it stay completely dry, I would worry about ring seal/cylinders if I were you

My turbo sled does not push oil either, and I have the original hose pointing downwards, no oil around the outlet so far.

If your sled continues to push oil you have compression blowing by the rings pushing oil out the breather.
