the oil filter looks like a pain and half to get to. any good suggestions on how to remove it without dismantaling every plastic body piece?

It can be done just by removing the airbox but it is tight. I can do it with my big hands. Having a K&N filter with the nut on the end helps a lot.

oil filter

Sure is a tight squeeze in there. Think i might just take the oil cooler off next time since i already have the airbox ripped out. Is that a knock sensor by the filter or a oil pressure sensor?

put a big hose clamp on it then you can push down on the clamp to get it loose.

I just use a big slip joint pliers. My advice change it every two seasons and remove front subframe for inspecting everything at same time.Changing just the oil every year is sooo easy!

Same here, airbox off & a pair of channel-lock pliers. Easy I thought but I don't have sausage fingers either haha

I have sausage fingers and I can get the filter in there. It can be done!
