Oil Filter

I'm doing the first oil change on my 06 Vector GT and was wondering which iol filter and the PN that most people like?

I use the Yamaha OEM filter on my 05 RS Venture, part# 5DM-13440-00-00. $13.40 @ Port Yamaha. My 05 RS Venture and your 06 Vector GT use the same filter.

I've been using a NAPA Gold #1358 on my RS Venture.

No problems.

Is it easy to do the oil change on the Vector? I am putting a rear heat exchanger on and I figuired with 400 miles I would change the oil the also, the dealer said they would do the first ome if I would like, but for $350 all they do is grease it and change the oil. I might as well learn and save the money. Is there a thread that shows how?

I think after seeing the pictures from the site The Snow D O had I might try the K&N. Where in the capitol region are you?

Just remember that when you drain the oil there are two plugs to drain. One by the filter and the other under the oil tank.
