I'm sure this has been debated on this board somewhere...I'm a huge Mobil 1 fan (have run it in my vehicles for years) but am a bit afraid about running it in crankcase. I read somewhere (not here) that Mobil 1 engineers don't recommend it in rec v engines only because of how the engines are used and the environments they're used in. Mobil 1 lacks something that other oils used for marine and rec v engines have in it.
I've got 7800 miles on my Vector using the Yami oil and cylinder compression is right at spec. Kinda hard to switch away from the stock Yami oil but.....

Hmmmm that's interesting, some others on this board have been running the Mobil 1 with no issues.
I'm willing to give it a try this season.

Yea I see others have used it too. FWIW - I don't think a season of use is going to do anything bad to the motor unless the motor was ready to grenade anyway. Mobil 1 is such a high quality oil that one likely couldn't tell anything was wrong in a year. Could it take 50,000 miles before one could tell if there was an issue....or 500 miles.....who knows?
Likely a safe bet either way.

I am running Mobil-1 0W-40 (European formula) in my sled, I tried to get the 0W-30 (green cap) but it is unavailable here in Canada.
