Just installed stage 2 turbo on 2011 fx nytro started it one cold morning it started smoking burning oil on exhaust side of turbo any ideas thanks

Return oil line restriction, or lack of scavenging on the oil return side.

Oil feed is on top of turbo an return come out the bottom should I increase the size of return hose if all is ok

Who's stage 2 kit? New or used? If used, maybe not the original or correct oil return system.
You say you started it one cold morning, I take it that it didn't push oil when running previously. The cold thick oil is hard and slow to flow in the return line.
What turbo model? How is the oil getting returned back from the turbo? Electric pump?

It's a full power kit new 3/16 feed line with a 3/8 return an it has a electric pump mounted in front of sled should I be running a restrictor in the feed line or should I be look at the return an make sure it has not kinks cause I had no problems until we had -20 an it sat outside usually it sit in heated garage

There is already a restrictor in the feed line at the oil filter adapter.
Just make sure there aren't kinks (or pinched under seat, etc) in the return line to the pump, then from the pump back to the oil tank vent. It definitely because the oil was so thick at -20 the pump wasn't able to scavenge the oil back from the turbo fast enough.
What oil are you running? 0W?

My Powderlites kit does the same thing when cold. I basically hav ethe same oil line setup as yours. Once its warm its fine.

I also am having the same issue but on an apex, it has the Garrett 2871 ball bearing turbo and I was told that I needed a .04 orfice restrictor that screws in to the turbo on the supply side. The ball bearing turbos do not require as much oil so if you have a high psi oil system without the orfice its pushing oil past the bearings into the exhaust side and in my case the compressor side. Im not saying thats whats wrong in your case, just something to check and see for sure you have the restrictor in the feed line if in fact you have the ball bearing turbo. I fought this problem untill guys on this forum helped me out in solving it.
