oil leaking

ive been riding my grizzly alot lately and the last couple of rides i noticed a bit of oil coming from the pull cord cover,i took it off and its coming from behind the mechanism for the pull cord,not sure what the problem is,a bad seal or is it my motor going bad,it burns a fair amount of oil but it still runs fine,its got 10 000 miles on it,as anyone ever had this happen

I would guess the seal behind the pull start cup is leaking, check for shaft play, might be a bearing.

There is a seal behind there. Mine went bad and started leaking with 300 miles on it. Dealer fixed it for free though. It's been fine ever since.

took the seal out tonight,there is no shaft play so the bearing is fine.the seal didnt look like it was damaged but i'll change it anyway.its leaking from outside the seal
