unloading off the trailer & sitting for a bit to warm up (maybe a minute more) the oil warning light was on, first time it's ever done this.
I shut it off, waited a few minutes then tried it again & it came on again but went off maybe another 2 minutes later.
Was -10* + had sat in the trailer during a pretty cold negative week, thought maybe the oil (Mobil 1 synthetic) just needed to thin out some?
Ran great all day for 151.4 miles.
Any ideas?

This has happened to me once 2 yrs ago when the engine was stone cold one night on a trip. It was -30 C (thats cold). Engine started find, thermostat light went out but the oil light stayed on for about one km before it went out. I think it takes awhile for the oil to warm up and create the kind of pressure the engine needs. The best thing you can do is run it, done push the engine hard. I took it real easy with the rpm's. Everything was fine. Still running the same sled - went 300 km on Saturday.
Hope this helps. If this is a regular occurence I think you better get it checked out.

Mine does this quite often. On startup after the red light shuts off the oil light comes on. Just wait a couple of min and it goes out. I have heard a lot of guys get this, no concern. I always try to give it about a ten min warmup anyways .
