Is there any problems to be concerned with going from Yamaha full synthetic back to the semi-synthetic? My brother goofed on the oil he purchased for this season and he has already had the oil changed.

Ummmm, you may have some issues. The molecular bonding of full synthetic and conventional oils causes a slow starting but potentially deadly chemical reaction, which doesn't start until the oils are hot and combine, leading to a spontaneous explosion at approximately 57.2 miles. The phenomenon cannot be explained through science......
