Just talking about RX1's with a friend of mine who was a Yamaha sled mechanic.
He went to the dealer to pick up some parts and the guys at the dealership were showing him the new oil resvoir in the 05 RX1.
Has anyone had a look at this?
Maybe it has to do with oil consumption??

I authored a thread in the engine forum that could have a bit of a tie in to what you are talking about. I was suspecting that if different methods were used to check the oil, then some owners could be overfilling.
So if the new tank gives you a more accurate oil reading then I might have nailed at least part of the issue with oil consumption.
