Folks, I do not have a before picture, but my question is pretty simple, and the Bender guys will know how it looked before. But anyway, in the picture below, in the lower right corner, the "T" with the cap on it, which is the return line from the bender oil pump, originally had a line running from that 't' over to the "t" in the other large line on the top of the tank (i removed that "t" and just connected the lines) on the far left (not the one running next to the return line). As all those lines appear to just return oil to the oil tank, I saw no reason to have the line between them. I've since ran the sled and there seems to be no problems.

Do you guys that know the oiling system see any problems with this? Also, the line with the cap on it is just temporary...I'd never run it around with junk like that:)

Can someone at least tell me where the 2 large lines on the oil tank come from? I beleive the one that heads forward returns oil from the crankcase...

I don't have the sled in front of me now.

I found this in the Service manual, it should explain where everything goes.

Travis,

I don't see anything wrong with your plumbing. The line you are returning oil from the Bender pump to is a vent line. With the 'T' that you had in it originally, you were 'T-ing' into the vent line that comes off the top of the tank and down to the cases. The thicker hose that comes off at 90 degrees in the left of your picture is the main oil return from the engine. I acn't see any bebefit to the way it was originally connected.

Does your Bender setup have a sump for the oil return from the turbo? If it does, and you arn't venting it, you should be. I can send you some pics of how we do ours if it helps.
