Jeff S is available allmost 24/7 for service & will go beyond the call of duty to fix a self inflicted problem. The biggey with any kit is proper installation & Jeff has a video & lotsa personnal service with his kit. Both kits work well but service is 99.9% of the equation if you have any probs.

Well i have a Bender so i will say Bender, but my sled is 99.999% on the trail. I just did not want the heat of a turbo under the hood.(Man do they get HOT!!)Or any more weight under the hood. The install on the rear mount was cake! The sled ran cleaner than stock right after the install!! I wanted to make my sled louder too so i killed two birds with one stone and lost the weight of that stock muffler! And for lag the rear mount is not bad at all, if you clutch it right. For a drag racer i would say Front mount. I think you would love both!! TURBOS are UNREAL!!!! The frist ride at 12PSI of boost was mind numbing!!!!

I would say 91-93 pump fuel @ 180-190 HP. At least 50% race fuel @ 12 lbs boost.

OK...the biggee with Jeff,s kit is ability to change boost settings in a very short time. You can use the the quick change boost petcock to go from 8-10 pounds boost in 2 seconds. If you want more you can adjust the waste gate in a lot less time. a rear mount means removing the seat for changinging boost. I ran 10 pounds boost; wiseco low compression pistons on pump fuel with a stock head gasket. We ran a buds Vector turbo(CPR) all afternoon (while I tuned it) to the pin unmercifully with stock head gasket, stock pistons on pump fuel! That was a fun afternoon!!!!

What ever kit you buy get a boost guage & watch it. Like I said both kits have their merrits but....I have yet to see any posts or support from Bender on this site!!!!! Jeff will support the his kit above & beyond on most websites. I have never witnessed any postings from Bender on any Yamaha website. They don,t even aknowledge these sites exist. FYI..the throttle response with a front mount = stock!!!!

I run 8-9Psi on the trail bone stock motor with good pump gas. 12+ psi i run 110+ race gas! One of the keys is keep the air coming in to the motor cool! That is one more thing i like about the rear mount the snow under the tunnel cools the intake charge more! In good snow that charge tube is getting a big time cool down!! Man you are going to love a Turbo i can not stop thinking about the next ride!!! It is A HOLE NEW WORLD!!! I had a 50HP shot of Nos on my sled frist. I thought it was fast, haha not even close to a turbo!!!

Skydog and Turk are firm on the brand they run.
Skydog I know you don't have many miles on this year.
Turk how did your sled go this year? You had lots of snow this year. Give us a report on the sled after having run it for a full year. How many miles did you put on.
thanks

I put 1800 miles on my CPR turbo this winter and had the best time of my life. It is so much fun, the power is unreal...BBY
skydog, what fittings did you put in your carbs to prevent pressure leaks that are a major problem with the bender kit???? cpr carb fittings.... how quickly you forget that its cpr's parts making your kit work like it does, now you know why i charge what i do for those fittings. front mount turbos have no lag, they are a blast to drive on the trail for exactly that reason, imagine driving a sled with clutching that doesn't back shift, its not much fun, by the time the power gets there its too late. thats the difference between a frt mount and a rear mount, (it also works better in a drag race, but don't fool yourself, throttle response is what makes a sled fun to drive, and thats why its the best kit for the trail.) heat is not an issue on a front mount, we have an elaborate heat shield that contains the heat perfectly. drive both and then decide, i guarantee you when you drive both you will choose a front mount hands down. we are running my front mount turbos at union grove on the asphalt this summer. test rides are availible for interested buyers. maybe skydog can bring his down for a head to head comparison, and let you decide for yourself after you drive them both. i will even borrow him the asphalt track and skis to accommidate the test. jeff
