OK Now I'm Pissed!

Simple, if you want it done right, do it yourself. Also always check you sled over if you took it to a dealer for something you could not handle. After getting it back from a shock and track refresh, I had a issue with one of my headlights. The dude at the dealer wedged the bulb conector on wrong and melted the socket. took me one minute to see one bulb was dim and smell burning plastic. They are usually great but sometimes Johny the teenager gets to finish up putting the sled back together and that's when things go sideways.

I cannot agree more. Every time I get my sleds, rhino, or even truck back from the dealer I check it out. It is absolutely amazing to me the amount of times I find issues. Everything from wires routed completely wrong to seals left out to lug nuts only finger tight. My rhino hood is never closed properly when I get it back from warranty work at the dealer...

I our defense (Canadians) some times the next nearest dealer is 4 hours away..... My closest dealer is 15min, the next one is around 45-60. But I'm in a relatively well populated area. I would imagine the guys in places like Thunder Bay are SOL.

I'm sure there are some of our US members in the same boat.

Crewchief I thought about that when I hit send. Here in Michigan there are a lot more dealers and there service has really stepped up in the last couple of years because giving great prices is no longer enough.....

Ithappens, went to your Dealer today looking for some clothing...and the building was empty...no longer around. How long did were they around, 1, 2 years?

I went across town yesterday to look at buying some cloths there too and it was empty.

That's why I ALWAYS insist in my sleds being delivered in the crate, I will PDF it myself. Thank you!!!!

PLUS when I did this with my Nytro. It's waited for the first ride for it's first ever start up!!!! 15min warm up (as per manual) then ride for 100miles non stop (Well 88 miles cause she ran out of gas lol)

Ok , Dont shoot me for saying this but it seems like the dealer is willing to try to get this problem right , jess seems like you guys are handling the situation like the dealer told you to go poop in your hat. they have said sorry and said they would make it right ,What more do you really expect them to do ?
Another question that might piss some off is when was the last time you didn't beat up the dealer for the "best deal you can get ? Do you really think that the dealer will put a higher paid mechanic to do set up if they are struggling to stay afloat .
Sorry but I have worked on the other side of the counter and these are my observations.

Yes the Hawthorne location has closed its doors, moved to Powersports Canada #1 Laser St. off Hunt CLub just across the Hunt CLub Bridge. I'm not supprised to see it closed as it would take huge volume to support such a large location. Not sure what they did with all their inventory as it doesn't seem like they have a lot on the floor @ Powersports.

MT.man has a good point. I'm sure in this economy it's difficult to hire quality Tech's and still give the best deal when selling low volume products like snowmobiles. I find the same issues in my business, Collision repair, hard to find quality guys, paying top dollar when body and paint rates are half of mechanical rates are in this area. Our industry rates are kept down by Insurance company's controlling the market. :o|

Having said that, set up is very important and I recommend going over a new machine very carefully to catch any missed or screwed up adjustments. Sure paid off for me. ;)!
