Dont know about the rest of you, but here in central Canada our snow conditions are the worst I can ever remember.

A lot of years we are able to take a few short rips in October. I remember trick-or-treating in snowsuits many a times.

But now here we are in December and we are due for an above freezing day yet again this week.

THIS SUCKS!!!
:letsnow: :drink:

Same thing here. This season we have had about 6cm's of snow. And about 10cm's of rain! Gona be a while till the swamps/rivers freeze up with all the rain we have been getting.

Same here in Central NY.

The Northern part of the state's trails are open in areas as hunting season has ended but the Southern end is still on going.
Usually there is a big bitch about riders out on the trails while hunters have their time in the woods............ Not this year!

Does suck as I like to hunt in the snow too ;)!

This year just sucks all around for snow so far. Hopefully the snow sticks around longer

Heard that the snow is comming to me tomorrow :D I have about 0.5mm now, so i hope for alot :p I'm in Northern Norway

Farmers Almanac for the prairies reads lower than average temps starting late December with slightly above average snowfall. It also says this will all start later than usual but also last longer. They say lots of snow in March/April/May. I don't care if it starts later as long as it lasts longer!!!

We get some snow here this weekend. I was gone for 2 day doing army things and all it did there was rain and stay above freezing. Slowly driving home seeing more and more snow and saw some truck coming from the north at lunch time with snow. We got much to go trail riding but since it was little wind it did not fill the ditches or pack very hard at least the corn stalks are covered we dont get that until Jan becaues or all the wind taking the snow.

There are some other countries that are getting different snow patterns then normal. With snow to early or no snow.

Here in NL, a green Christmas has become the norm and we often don't get any good snow until late into Jan-early Feb. And most years things don't freeze up before the snow comes which creates problems getting around off trails. The weather patterns definitely have changed in my life time (50y+yrs) as I remember growing up and always skating on the ponds in November before the snow came - but that is a thing of the past.

Here in WI I usually get a short christmas day ride in before all the family stuff. It is starting to look like that will not happen.

I have heard the same thing about the farmers almanac, I really, really hope that it is true.

I know the mountains 6 hrs West of me (Valemount) has got some awesome conditions already. Looks like I might be loading up the sleds because I don't want to wait!

The latest revised winter outlook I just saw still say the midwest is in for a snowy winter! They now are saying that it is going to start a little later than we usually get and then last longer into spring. I don't see any snow in the forecast for 10 days.....that makes waiting on driving the sled seem like a long time away. I can't even take it for short runs....the ground is bare and brown! :o|

Yeah this is driving me nutz!! :o| :o|

Our 10-day forecast is nothing but sunshine :(

-22c (-8F I think) this friday, but NO SNOW :o|

That is a step closer then us!

Another sting of above freezing days coming up.

I got snow about a foot or more , but 35-45 cm expected tomorrow , this year I'm finally getting snow again. The last two winters were bad for my location
