i see alot of people puting one eveything from street bike to atv pipes and of corse the aftermarket ones for the phazer. i want to get somthing for mine but not sure wich way to go. i know i can save alot of weight. stock can is like 20 lbs or so. but i also do not want to lose any perfromance. any one can jst throw any old pipe one but if its not made for it doesnt mean ull gain anything. what im realy askin has any one actualy seen any results, other then sound, from the aftermarket pipes? its not realy worth it to lose 10 lbs and lose 3-5 hp u know. i just dont want to spend 300+ on somthing that im gonna lose power.

first i had a fz1 mig carbon fiber exhaust on my phazer, i didnt notice much other then sound, it cleared up the bottom end a tad.
then i just put my yoshi rs3 on there. all i can say is wow. compared to the mig. cleared up the bottom end bog completely. definitly a improvement over stock and the mig.

I got a SMB pipe and a Ulmer clutch kit really put the low end to this thing. Has a sweet sound to it. not too loud but barks enought to let you know it's not stock.

I put on a Hauck system on my FX and it is incredible, sounds great and yanks harder. I may be pulling the pipe due to the NYS dB law (Hauck is 83dB...78dB is NYS law). It's not loud in the sense of what many consider when they think of a sled with a can.

78db??? That's a little ridiculous! Especially since most stock sleds won't make that. The Phazer stock is 80db. Michigan just passed a sound test law for the public trails for 88db. That's a relatively reasonable level.
A good exhaust in my opinion is the Hartman or the Ultra Q exhausts. They are a lot lighter, not that much money and are only about 3db louder on average. That and they look like stock exhausts to the authorities that don't know any better.

well theres no sound laws here. atleast not yet or that i know of or they enforce. so im not realy worried about sound, i realy only care about weight lost and hp and responce gain
I installed a Jardine RT1 of of a Honda 600 rr. It is loud but I dont think it's to bad. It weighted one 1.5 lbs with the mid pipe. as for seat of the pants I couldnt tell you, I never rode it stock. There pics of it under more new exhaust.

how hard is it to get the old exhaust off? i have a phazer rtx and i want something that will add a few hp without adding weight anybody have any sugestions and can you ball park the price for me thanks.and by the way it doesn't really matter how loud it is.
It is easy to get off, The sawsall is your friend.
Hauck GHT-R-Done kit.
no dyno runs
but against our stock phazer, no question worth the money!

How many lengths you pulling on the stocker?
I installed the same kit on my FX, difficult to judge how much harder it pulls versus stock considering it's been 9 months. The guys at Hauck are extremely helpful, was on the phone with them today discussing installing some SuperTrapp disc to drop the dB's a touch...
