Have an 07 phazer I bought last year from the original owner. Guy lived a ways out of the metro and for whever reason didnt have some of the recalls done. Sled has been pampered with just 600 miles on it.

I had a dealer run the vin and theres a couple outstanding recalls on it.

Sleds now 5 years old. Cant imagine yamaha would still honor it.

Or would they?

They should take care of them for you

These are recalls. They will honor them. I bought an 07 last year and just got all the updates done, radiator fan, ball joints, cold start, wire harness. There are also a few bulletins, but you have to complain about the symptom in order to get those fixed. Good luck!

^ It wasnt a dealer I go to for service. It was an outfit that I buy parts from. The guy couldnt say one way or the other if Yamaha would still honor it.

I took mine into Waldochs this afternoon. Having a ball joint and some ground taken care of. Asked about the fan (after complaining it gets hot) and the tech was going to talk to someone at Yamaha. Sounds like the fan deal was something they fixed during the warentee period. Would be nice if they would anti up.

Got a chance to look at the new phazers and was surprised to see even the later models have sloppy steering. You would think they would have fixed it by now. My Nytro steering is considerably tighter.

I just picked up an '09 Phazer with 4600Km and the amount of slop in the steering was unreal. The plastic bushings in the steering pivots are the culprit. UpBushman's bronze bushings fixed that. The plastic block holding the steering was also worn out. That can be taken care of with a new aluminum one with Oilite bushings from OFT racing.
